When I was about 8 or so, I remember promising my grandmother that one day when I had money I’d book her a flight and have her stay at a fancy hotel somewhere. I’d also take her to the beach, I think I said that too. All she had to do in return was stay alive long enough to experience this. She giggled, in the way elders do when their children sell them dreams. In her round muddy hut in Mbashe, the two of us agreed.
Oddly, this promise stayed with me. It was a sacred hope of mine to lace her life with this experience. Our Father in heaven heard us and It finally happened this past December, in a way that I would never have even imagined. I hope you enjoy this treasured moment of mine and that it reminds you that some of the simplest moments can yield the deepest joy.
I loooooooooooove this with all of my heart

This honestly made me cry and tugged at all my heart strings. Thanks for sharing this moving and special moment/victory with us, Sihle. Indeed, dreams do come true and God is able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than we could ever imagine. He will bless you infinitely for loving your Gran so much and honouring your promise to her. I echo her words to you, “Onwards and upwards, Master Master.”

Oh, Amanda! Thank you for this beautiful blessing. Ndiyabulela ngamazwi wakho. Oh, I too wish you so much goodness and favor in all that you do, that you would continue to be a well-watered garden. My word to you is Psalm 1, that in every season your leaves would not wither and in everything you do, that you prosper. ❤️
Much love
