The joy of breathing among angels

Overnight we begin to refer to you as was and used to be

What remains in the now are the moments in the memory

What rests is the joyfulness in the laughter shared,

Like the yellow in the sun.

Those moments are inscribed on the tablets of our hearts

Your voices are rhythmically etched in the heartbeat of our minds

Resembling Majestic symphonies your words sing to us

Like the brightness of heavens ray.

Suddenly… your notes-your poems-your speeches- our conversations

They bare meaning to all that is true-pure-sure

Untainted by the weariness of the words heard in this world

Your stanzas are inundated with promise

Like the unfailing fate of eternal joy

Your notes-your poems-your speeches- our conversations

They fill our eyes with enlarged tears

They dance as gentle singings saying,

“This is the way to live”

Your words echo like whispers of wisdom

Now that you have outran the sprint of time.

Your words dance as gentle singings saying

Saying everything that is pure-true-sure,

Like the unblemished blue in the crack of dawn.

We overwhelmingly replay your verses

We echo the words that once streamed from the tides of your heart

In the high hope…that you would come again

And live and breathe by our sides one more time

Like angels enfolded in our midst

But we know that when great souls die.

We can – “Be and be better. For they existed”

Now the joy of our lives is that we can say with promise

As sure as the unfailing fate of eternal joy

That Angels are embraced in our midst

For they have danced among us

like the yellow in the sun

They have spoken to us

like the unblemished blue in the break of dawn

We can justly say angels live among us.

Yes. They have outran the sprint of time

But like the unfailing fate of eternal love

We are sure

Angels are wrapped in our midst

For we know the joy of breathing among angels.
